A study in Belgium on 2,237 piglets found Tonisity Px improved nursery pig performance, increasing nursery weight by 610g and ADG by 24g/day, enhancing growth and productivity.

In a recent study conducted on a farm in Belgium with 1,200 sows of DanBred x Belgian Pietrain genetics, the effects of Tonisity Px supplementation on weaning weight and nursery performance were investigated. The study aimed to assess the impact of Tonisity Px on weaning weight, nursery weight and nursery Average Daily Gain (ADG) in a population of 2,237 pigs across 124 pens.

Tonisity Px (500ml/litter/day) was administered to the piglets in a round piglet feeder from day two to eight of life, and for three days pre-weaning (poured on creep feed). 100 ml/pig/day of Tonisity Px were administered for three days post-weaning on top of nursery feed. Control piglets did not receive any supplementation.

The supplementation of Tonisity Px led to a significant increase in nursery weight by 610 g and nursery ADG by 24 g per day. These improvements were observed in a substantial number of pens (N=124), indicating the potential benefits of incorporating Tonisity Px into pig farming practices.

The study highlighted the importance of proper supplementation strategies in enhancing nursery performance, ultimately contributing to the overall productivity and profitability of pig farming operations. By understanding the positive effects of Tonisity Px on nursery weight and ADG, farmers can make informed decisions to optimise growth and development in piglets, leading to healthier and more robust animals.

These findings underscore the significance of targeted nutritional interventions, such as Tonisity Px, in improving key performance indicators in pig farming. As the industry continues to evolve, incorporating innovative solutions like Tonisity Px can offer farmers a competitive edge by maximising the growth potential of their livestock and ensuring sustainable production practices.

In conclusion, the study demonstrates the potential of Tonisity Px as a valuable tool for enhancing nursery performance in pig farming, paving the way for improved efficiency and profitability in modern swine production systems.
